Here we are talking about 1-MONTH-OLD baby’s development:

1-MONTH-OLD BABIES SLEEP SCHEDULE

At one-month-old babies are uncertain about their sleeping plan. Give your baby enough freedom to sleep. For the first two months, newborns are unable to analyze between day and night.

For the 1st week, they sleep 16-18 hours, about half mid the night and a half expand over four daytime rest. From 2 weeks to 2 months they sleep a medium of 15.5-17 hours about 8.5-10 hours at night and six to seven hours during the day expand over three to four break. Many babies go to sleep during the daytime and stay awake at night.  Let your one-month-old baby sleep as per her comfort. Be sensitive to your baby’s sleep clues.

Most newborns go to sleep after their feed. Put your baby in her cot when she completes her feeding. Don’t try to manage her sleeping patterns. Being born is very hard work. For first few weeks baby only wants to sleep and sleep. A new baby wants to sleep 15, to 16 hours a day. A baby sleeping cycle is different from yours so be brave during first few months.

 

NEWBORN BABIES FEEDING PATTERN

At the age of one month baby needs to feed at least 6 times in 24 hours. At this age, the baby has only two activities that are sleeping or feeding. Both are her favorite courses to do.  Don’t try to control their feeding pattern.

Let your baby decide how much they want to feed. If you are breastfeeding your baby you can enhance the feed time which is good for the baby’s health. At this stage, the baby needs more care and attention from mother, and breastfeeding enhances the love between mother and infant.

At this age baby only need milk, his favorite food is mother milk, and he does not need anything except mother feed. Feed him frequently but in a small amount. A newborn is not very hungry for the first two days. Your baby gives you signal including lip-smacking, tongue movement and eye fluttering, and crying is a late signal for hunger. During feeding talk with him softly it will help him to recognize your voice and increase love between both.

 

PLAY AND INTERACT WITH 1-MONTH-OLD BABIES

Love your child unlimited. Cuddle with him. Make him feel special by giving him your full attention and care. Baby in the womb already knows her mother’s touch and warmth. connect with your baby whenever she is awake, call her by her good name and play some soft music, try to talk with your baby, also introduced them with some colorful toys.  Babies are also creating bonds of love and affection with their parents so a daily connection with the baby makes it useful to make a bond of love between parents and babies. Playing with your newborn baby is a v good way to guide him into his new world.

 

NEWBORN BABIES HEAD’S UP

In the last week of the first month, your baby neck muscles are becoming stronger, and it allows him to hold her head up for some time. He can turn it from side to side. He also can turn his head side to side.

Try to put your baby down on her stomach when she awake. Babies should sleep on their back but they also give some time to their belly. It makes their neck muscles very strong which helps them to crawl, rollover.

 

1-MONTH-OLD BABY BURPING

A baby feels uncomfortable after feeding if she has swallowed air during her feed. Burping is good at helping the baby to get rid of swallowed air. Burp baby when he finishes his feed. If the problem continued you may burp the baby more and more. Most babies burp himself after two months of age. You should softly rub the baby back then wait some minutes and do this again. Sometimes milk comes up with the air so don’t you worry just clean the babyface with some baby wipes. Make sure milk is not so hot or too cold. Keep the baby upright in your arms during feeding.

 

NEWBORN BABIES MOTHER TOUCH

Babies love to be touched. Baby feels so much comfort when his mother touches him. Give your baby skin to skin contact for example by touching and holding or by giving him a massage. Kiss him gently.

  • BABY SAFETY
    Safety is very important for a newborn. Babies analyze their surroundings by putting anything into their mouths. Never leave little things in your baby’s reach. Never feed your baby hard pieces of food. Never keep your baby on a water bed or anything that is soft to cover the face and stop air to the nose and mouth. It is important that you always belt your baby into their cot. Use safety belts. Use both hands to carry your little baby. Do not leave a baby alone on the place from which the child can twist or roll over and fall. Do not carry anything hot while holding the baby to fend off burns. Your baby is very young, so don’t try to keep toys or pillows in the cot with him or her. Don’t allow anyone to smoke near your baby. Keep away your baby from coming in contact with any infected or unhealthy person.

UMBILICAL CORD:
“Your baby’s umbilical cord is a medium of life during pregnancy. After her birth, she starts getting food and oxygen through mother feed so the umbilical cord is no longer needed. After the birth umbilical cord cut off and your baby feels no pain of it. A little piece of the cord remains attached to the baby belly. The color of the stump change from yellowish to blue and then black and finally fall off. It takes almost one to four weeks.”

 

There are some tips for caring 1-MONTH-OLD BABIES umbilical cord

If the stump looks unclean or tacky, wash it softly with a wet cloth and then neat with a dry cloth.

Keep stump dry. Try to keep the stump dry it will help it to heal easily and fast.

Stick to a sponge bath.  When the stump falls off you can freely bath your baby.

Diaper deftly. Do not cover the stump with the top of his diaper. Always tie the diaper below the navel.

Dress delicately, too. Always dress your baby loose-fitting clothes. He feels so comfortable in it; don’t ever try to pack your baby so tightly.

Resist removing. Never try to pull off the stump. Let it fall off its own. Otherwise, it will harm your baby. If accidentally it happens immediately call your baby doctor as it may cause infection.


ONE-MONTH-OLD BABY WEIGHT

Every baby is unique in its own way. At the time of birth, some babies are skinny whereas some are bulky. Some may be taller and some may be shorter. Boys and girls have different growth phenomena. Boys are somewhat heavier and taller than girls and their growth arrangements are different. At the age of one month, boys should be 3.5 to 4.5 kg and girls should be 3.32 to 4.1kg.

NEWBORN BABIES ACNE PROBLEM

Baby acne is very common. It can be present at the time of birth but mostly it shows up after some weeks of birth. Baby acne mostly disappears even without treatment but sometimes it takes a long time to vanish. Your baby skin is very sensitive and soft at this age so don’t you think about using any chemical creams. Wash your baby face on a daily basis with Luke warm water. Use a soap that is mild and moisturizing. Scrubbing the baby’s skin with a towel can worsen the condition always use baby wipes to clean your baby’s face. Do not use lotions and creams as baby skin is so sensitive and lotion may contain a chemical that could worsen the condition. Do not pinch the acne it will also cause irritation on your baby skin.

 

1-MONTH-OLD BABIES MILIA

Milia is totally different from acne. Both are different skin conditions. Acne looks like red pimples while milia look like whitehead also called oil bumps. Milia form due to oil glands because in infant oil gland is still developing Milia occur in 50% of infants. Milia are mostly seen on the forehead on nose cheeks below eyes and chin. Mostly it will disappear within some months on their own.

 

NEWBORN BABIES CRADLE CAP

cradle cap also called seborrhea which is called dandruff. It is a common condition in newborn babies. Some kids get scales in small patches and some get all over the head. Sometimes cradle cap can appear on eyebrows eyelid and ears. Regularly wash your baby hair with a doctor recommended mild shampoo. Gently rub a mild oil or almond oil on your baby scalp. If the cradle cap starts to look red and swollen take her to the doctor. It could mean it is infected.

 

1-MONTH-OLD BABIES DIAPER RASHES

No matter how carefully you treat your baby, your little one will get a diaper rash. Most babies do. It is because of leaving a dirty and wet diaper for too long time. Sometimes it causes because of bacterial infection and yeast infection. The skin may also look like red and little puffy. Be sure your baby’s skin must be clean and dried. Use a mild soap and if you use baby wipes use only mild one. Always use plain water. Use baby powder on the rashes area but keep it away from babyface, because it can cause breathing problems for an infant. You can also use petroleum jelly on rash areas. Change diaper daily. You can also change the brand of baby diapers. If rash gets worse talk to your doctor.

 

NEWBORN NAILS

Newborn baby nails soft and flexible and grow so rapidly. They can scratch themselves and also their faces, so regularly cut their nails. While cutting their nails you should be so careful. You should learn how to cut baby nails and hoe to keep them neat and clean.

 

1-MONTH-OLD BABIES BREATH PROBLEM

if your child is facing a breath problem check his breathing pattern. The most common reasons for breathing problem is asthma or respiratory infection. Wheezing hoarse voice coughing nasal flaring and blue skin are the symptoms of breath problem. If your child is breathing very fast and wheezing on exhalation but not coughing, it can be a sign of pneumonia. Pneumonia is a serious infection of lungs that can damage the lung tissues. Take your child to the doctor and do proper medication.

 

HOW TO BATHE A NEWBORN BABY

It’s up to you how much you bathe. Some babies love being in the water and some not. In a week two or three times bath is enough.
In the starting days, you feel scary during your baby bathe you need someone help also, but after some time u will be alright with it. Always use sink or small baby tub for bathing purposes. Fill the tub with 2,3 inches of warm but not hot water, but remember not more than 2,3 inches of water. Always use mild soap without scent because it may cause irritate the baby’s skin. Remember one thing never leave your baby alone in the bathroom never ever.

 

1-MONTH-OLD BABIES AFTER THE BATH

After your baby is well washed, get him out of the tub and cover with a towel. Special towels are available at the market with a hooded cap that easily dries up the baby. Neat his skin down with the towel, don’t rub hard. Make sure the baby is completely dry everywhere. Lotions and powders are not important for most babies it may cause skin irritation, just get a neat diaper on him and get him dressed nicely, and make a lot of love with her.

 

GAS PROBLEM IN NEWBORN BABIES

Gas problem can be painful for infants and also for the mother watching her baby suffer in pain. Almost all babies have a gas problem but most of them have more problems. Overfeeding is one of the causes of gas. There may be some other reasons also. Place your baby on a flat surface and start rubbing his back it will also relief the baby. If the condition is still the same consult with the doctor. Remember that babies are just getting habituated to this world. As they grow older, they most will become less gassy and fussy.

1-MONTH-OLD BABIES SIGHT

An infant’s vision is very blurry, but within one month they are able to focus a little bit better. They can’t see far objects clearly because babies at this age can focus on objects that are close to him but see distant objects as fuzzy,  As babies grow old, her seeing sense get more strong. at the end of 3 months, they can follow moving things.  his eyes don’t work together yet so he can’t focus very well.  Newborns are very nearsighted. Your baby can see objects and people most clearly when they are just 8 to 12 inches away. Your baby can see color, but he can’t understand the difference between similar colors such as red and orange.

 

NEWBORN BABIES HEAD CONTROL

Newborn baby neck muscles are so weak, although you may note your baby is able to hold their head up but when they are lying on their belly or being kept by you. They may also be able to turn it both sides.. With the passage of time baby will be able to hold on his neck.

 

DEVELOPMENTS IN YOUR 1 ONE-MONTH-OLD BABIES

At the end of the month, you may notice that the infant is heavier and bigger than before. She cannot grasp a toy but she will aware of it. She can start to recognize the smell of her mother. Her vision has not cleared fully but she can see things close proximity. In the starting days, she will mostly keep her eyes closed but with some time she will begin to respond to bright light. Baby is now familiar with mother voice and also other family members of the family. Babies love gentle voices as compare to loud voices.

 

REFLEXES OF YOUR 1-MONTH-OLD BABY

Baby slowly develops her reflexes. You can notice she will turn her head to her feeder. She will also try to spread her hands to keep on to you. You can also feel her grips becoming stronger with the passage of time. You can also feel her strong grab on your finger. You also notice he/she will giving you a response to your talk. She will start making faces also.

 

NEWBORN BABIES CRYING

No matter how much you take care of your baby, they will find a way to cry anyways. At this age, babies spend their 10% time on crying. It is their way of explaining any pain or discomfort. If baby continuously cries you should check if she is hungry if she needs a burp or if she feels sleepy. Also, check if she feels discomfort with the surroundings.  Don’t worry about baby cry because it is the only way to communicate at this stage. You should make respond to her cry and give her a lot of love and attention when she cries. Kiss him love him to cuddle with him it will make baby so comfort.

 

1-MONTH-OLD BABIES OIL MASSAGE

Oil massage is very important for an infant. Do massage your baby before and after a bath. Oil massage is very beneficial for baby. It will make baby bones strong. You can use baby oil or vegetable oil for massage purposes because they are easily absorbed. It will strengthen your baby bones and also give him relief. Baby loves massage. So give your baby a healthy massage before and after a bath. It will regulate her circulation system also.
