Many wild birds that are rescued may present some larvae under the skin.
They are usually eaten by parents, thus becoming a rich source of protein and other essential nutrients for the health of the infant.
Removal should always be done carefully and preferably by a specialized veterinary surgeon. Remembering that they bother the bird so much, and depending on where they are, they may even compromise the bird's health.
