"- What are you doing GRANDMA ROSE?
Ash well, on top of laundry, dirty it will not go!?
Not my little grandson's clothes because the lye will be very bright white.
My grandmother did the laundry on a sloping slab of stone at the pit of your yard with soap and blue denim pants monkey with soap and then put the linen in the sun on top of the grass stain.
Once stained, put all the clothes in a circular grid of slats of wood in a proper location based on a round stone slab with a groove to let the water drain.
Put clothes on top of ash sifted into a strong cloth bag.
Preheated water to a boil in a boiler that also contained a powder that was produced Zinzi also used in this boiler, for much of the year, to distill the black figs and so getting one of their sources of income, aguardete fig.
In the following do fervenet filled with water sprinklers and watering for a long time the bag went the continuous ash that flowed through all the clothing that was soaked in the appropriate time and it was dripping all night.
On saguinte, the clothes were washed again and that was bright white clothes, with no stain.
Was then placed in a drying in the sun and soon they were collected was dried and ironed coal
