Do you need to prepare PowerPoint presentation from time to time as a teacher to show teaching plan, or as a businessman for business proposal? Adding videos to presentation, especially as an example or research, will increase the reputation of your presentation. However, you may notice that Microsoft PowerPoint does not support loading AVCHD files in .mts or .m2ts formats recorded with the HD camcorders.

Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter is the recommended tool for you to play AVCHD files on PowerPoint presentation slideshow by converting AVCHD MTS/M2TS to PowerPoint supported videos formats like .wmv, .avi, .asf in high quality. While most AVCHD files are recorded in interlaced mode, you may also use the AVCHD MTS converter to deinterlace 1080i videos for smooth playback on PC.

Follow the steps below and you will find the quick way to insert AVCHD videos from camcorders like Panasonic HDC-TM700/SD700/HS700 or Sony HDR-CX350 to PowerPoint for presentation and education.

Step 1. Load AVCHD files to Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter.
After transferring AVCHD files from camera/camcorder to PC hard drive disk, run the Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter as the best AVCHD to PowerPoint converter, and click the "Add" button to import .mts videos. You may also drag and drop the .mts, .m2ts files from computer folder to program UI.

Step 2. Choose PowerPoint output format.
Click the "Format" option and navigate to PowerPoint > WMV-2(*.wmv) as output format. The AVCHD MTS converter will convert HD MTS to WMV for PowerPoint slideshow. You may also choose .mpg format with MPEG-1 from the PowerPoint group.

Microsoft PowerPoint also supports other video formats like .avi, .asf. You may choose these formats from the Common Video group. However, it is recommended that you use the .wmv or .mpg format from the PowerPoint group, as you may need additional codec to play AVI videos on PowerPoint like DivX.

Step 3. Deinterlace AVCHD MTS/M2TS.
Select a video clip on the file list, click the "Editor" button, and go to the Effect tab. Tick the checkbox for deinterlacing to remove the interlacing lines which you may notice when playing 1080i videos on PC. Click the apple to all button if all the AVCHD videos on file list were recorded in interlaced mode.

This step would be applied to most AVCHD camcorders like Sony Handycam HDR-CX350/CX550, Canon Vixia HF11. For the 1080/60p or 1080/50p .mts files from Panasonic HDC-TM700/HS700/SD700, you can skip this step about deinterlacing for playback on PC. For AVCHD Lite 720p .mts files from Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7/TZ10, DMC-TS1/FT1, you do not need to deinterlace AVCHD either.

Step 4. Convert AVCHD to WMV for PowerPoint.
Click the convert button under the preview window, and the AVCHD converter will convert AVCHD MTS/M2TS to WMV for PowerPoint slideshow, as well as deinterlace 1080i videos for presentation.

After the AVCHD conversion, just create a new slide on your PowerPoint project, and insert the output video to PowerPoint, and you can display recorded videos on PowerPoint Presentation slideshow.

If you have other DVD training videos, you may try Aunsoft Blu-ray Video Converter Ultimate to get different source of videos to PowerPoint or other presentation.
