Air India jet crashed in Mangalore

At least 159 people have been killed in the southern Indian city of Mangalore when an Air India Express jet carrying 166 passengers crashed as it overshot an airport runway and plunged into a valley.

Authorities said that seven passengers in the Boeing 737 had survived the accident.

It is India's deadliest plane crash in 10 years.
