Confidence is defined as the quality or state of being certain.
The word 'Confidence' originates from Latin 'confidere' meaning to trust--as in trusting your own ability.
Contrary to popular belief, low self confidence is pretty common. Someone who is confident among friends may not have confidence on a date. Others who are confident during office meetings may not be confident to stand up and deliver a speech. And there are some who have confidence about their abilities at work but might not be confident talking about it during job interviews. On the other hand, others who are good at working for someone might not be confident starting on their own.
However the reality is that building self confidence is all about following a process. Confidence building and to learn how to project confidence is about following some simple steps.
Focus on what you can control, not on what you cannot.
Stop worrying by not thinking about how things could go wrong. Start thinking about how everything will turn out fine.
Don't give your energy to people who are negative. Stay far away from them.
Find a way, as often as possible, to be associated with whatever you consider to be beautiful or wonderful.
Find something you are passionate about and turn to it often.
Never let yourself feel pressured.
Always remember--you know more than you think you do.
Don't be afraid of being wrong.
