The Tyrol is an alpine region of Central Europe. Formerly autonomous province, was divided in 1919 by the Treaty of Saint-Germain-en-Laye in two distinct parts: ***** The North Tyrol and East (Bundesland), Austrian land whose major cities are Innsbruck and Lienz. ***** The Trentino-South Tyrol (or Welschtirol for Trentino), an Italian region whose major cities are Trento and Bozen. In French, we tend to call this region Alto Adige in Italian as Alto Adige. Welschtirol The name can be translated by Latin Tyrol, since historically this province was foreign (Italian) if one takes the point of view speaking world. The spread over the Tyrolean Alps, its highest peaks are Ortler (3902 m) and Königspitze (South Tyrol), Grossglockner (3798 m) (East Tyrol) and the Wildspitze (3774 m) ( North Tyrol). It is traversed by the Inn, which flows into the Danube. Three languages are spoken in Tyrol: German Tyrol Northern, Eastern and Southern Italy in the Trentino; Ladin in South Tyrol.
I you wish a good day!.
