Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan made their first public appearance together at the ongoing 60th Cannes Film Festival in France.

Ash has been a regular at the Cannes film festival since 2002, where she had made her appearance with Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali to promote their film, Devdas.

Abhishek looks on while his wife poses with her L'Oreal counterparts US actress-model Kerry Washington, Chinese actress-model Li Gong and US actress-model Andie MacDowell for the opening ceremony of the Cannes festival.

This is Abhishek's first red carpet walk at Cannes.

Ash has often been criticised for her fashion disasters at Cannes. But she looks beautiful in her off-shoulder white gown this year.

The Cannes festival will showcase Ash's forthcoming film, Jodhaa Akbar, where she stars opposite Hrithik Roshan.

Her film with Abhishek -- Guru -- will be screened as well.
