    Publisher's description of WinNc
WinNc is a file manager that replaces the use of the existing Windows Explorer. Developed by a small Dutch multimedia company called Dunes MultiMedia, WinNc uses the same key shortcuts and the same mouse functionality as a well-known DOS file manager Norton Commander. Lots of tool buttons and menu items provide access to standard file-management methods. You can easily format, copy, move, delete, view, and edit files.
The average PC user spends little time thinking about Windows' file-management system. However, for heavy computer users, the Windows Explorer can be frustrating. WinNc.Net is based on a well-known file manager for the old DOS operating system, and offers a wide range of features beyond those that come with Windows. The program allows users to view files in two panels, similar to rival programs such as FAR Manager and Total Commander. Every panel can be divided into multiple tabs, which makes it easy to work with several folders at once. The software also offers a rich set of additional tools, including the ability to compress, encrypt, split, and compare files, or perform functions such as FTP transfers or recording data CDs. With a relatively complex set of options, WinNC.Net certainly won't be for everyone, but it is a powerful tool for advanced users who want to fine-tune their PCs' most basic tasks.
