For long, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have had the highest fan-base in IPL. Over the years, the fans have supported the franchise to make their dreams a reality. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned for Virat Kohliís RCB this year and were kicked out of IPL 2019. This has been the story for RCB almost every edition.

Here are 4 reasons why RCB failed:

1) The team was overtly dependent on Virat Kohli-AB de Villiers pair. Although they had a strong team of paper, however, lack of execution hurt them terribly. Parthiv Patel was the only one who contributed as much as he could in the absence of the stalwarts

2) International players like Hetmyer, Colin de Grandhomme, Tim Southee, and domestic player Shivam Dube failed to deliver. This hurt their chances

3) Dale Steyn did make a difference in his short stint. However, he could not stay longer to contribute to RCBís success

4) There was a dismal display on the field too. Dropped catches in the crucial moments changed the results for RCB
