Video Mode initialization error in Win XP

I recently downgraded my laptop from Vista to XP Pro, after which I am getting 'Video mode initialization error' when i try to play few games. can anyone help me this? Is there any video driver or any software for this kind of error? My laptop has NVIDIA graphics.

Yes, maybe the Graphic card driver is not installed. You'll need to give us the full details of the graphics card. Like the model number.
