fiat India, it seems, is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that it's upcoming crossover Avventura is sure shot success. The company has roped in Bollywood Starlet and Reality Show Big Boss 7 winner - Gauhar Khan as the its new brand ambassador. The actress recently confirmed the same via her Twitter handle as she shot for the upcoming TVC of the yet-to-be-launched Avventura with tag line - 'Boring is Dead, It's time to Live Alive with Avventura'. The Avventura crossover was showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo as a concept and the spy-shots of the production version have also been up on web as the company had been testing the vehicle for quite some time. It is almost certain that Fiat will launch Avventura crossover in the first week of October and the advance bookings have already been flagged off by the company across its dealerships. In external appearance, the Avventura is quite identical to the Punto EVO as far as front fascia is concerned but the Fiat engineers have worked their heart out to distinguish it from the hatch by providing sportier elements in form of externally-mounted spare wheel, roof rails, diamond-cut alloy wheels and nudge guards and an excessive ground clearance of 205mm (20mm bigger than that of Punto EVO).
As we earlier reported that Avventura crossover is slated to be launched in a total of 5 variants - three diesel and two petrol. The diesel trims would be Active, Dynamic and Emotion while the petrol trim would be deprived of Emotion grade. The TVC shows Gauhar Khan being stranded in thick traffic in a car with tag line - Boring Traffic Jam or Living Alive. Then, in the next frame, the Avventura crossover is revealed conquering every terrain like muddy, hilly and full of water with a quote, "It's time to #LiveAlive with Fiat Avventura".
The crossover would be having quite a high ground clearance in excess of 200mm along with 16-inch alloy wheels. There would be functional roof rail and a stylish mounted spare wheel at the rear to enhance the sportiness of this contemporary urban vehicle (CUV). Inside the cabin, there would be 60:40 double folding seats which adds further space. Fiat Avventura would be fitted with first-in-segment high terrain gauges. The petrol variants would be powered by a 1.4L, four-cylinder engine which would belt out a top power of 89bhp and peak torque of 115Nm. On the other hand, the diesel variants would in-house company's most trusted 1.3L Multi-jet engine which would generate a maximum power output of 92 bhp and peak torque performance of 209Nm.
