Fashion Pakistan Week
Nida Azwer’s showcased her womens wear pręt a porter collection entitled “Juxtapose“ at the Fashion Pakistan Week. Through this collection Nida endeavoured to showcase the juxtaposition between contemporary style and ancient art. The motifs for this collection are inspired by one of our oldest civilisations, 'Mehergarh" that was discovered in 1974 and is now seen as a precursor to the Indus Valley civilisation."Juxtapose" is based on a monochromatic palette, highlighting the contrasting effect between black, white and Nida's traditional inspiration, fused with her contemporary cuts, thereby seeking to bring forth the dichotomy that exists in "Juxtapose's" choice of colours and design. For this collection she has used natural fabrics such as muslin, chiffons and silks with an emphasis on signature Nida Azwer screen printing.
