Brendon McCullum admitted he was a little disappointed at leaving the IPL early to head for a couple of warm-up games ahead of the first test against England. "It's going to be hard to leave this," McCullum told website "This is where it is all happening, but having said that I understand that there is a tour to England about to begin which is really important. But the couple of warm-up games before the test are going to seem incredibly low key when compared to what is going on here."

Younis Khan opts out of IPL

Younis Khan, who was set to play for the Rajasthan Royals has opted out of the tournament for 'personal reasons'. It is rumoured that Younis was unhappy about how the Pakistan board allowed the ICC's Anti-Corruption Unit to question him without any notice. However, Younis has made it clear that should his team need him he would be ready to fly down.
