When we met Lara Dutta last, she was busy shaking a leg with Chi Chi aka Govinda. All this for Ravi Chopra's film Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai.
Dressed in a white knee-length dress, the actress was feeling lighter (literally). "I've been working out," she told us amidst loud laughter, "When we were starting to shoot for this film, I was coming out of a sabbatical. I was lazy then, but the work and workouts are full throttle now."
About the film, the Bollywood Bandi said, "BR Chopra has finally done the right thing and bought the rights of a Hollywood film - My Cousin Vinny. Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai is the Hindi remake of it. So, you have Govinda playing Joe Pesci's role and I am playing Marisa Tomei's Oscar-award winning role. It's a fun film; it's a comedy; it's mad."
Making comparisons with the original, Lara adds, "I think we're making a much better film than the original, and we're having a blast doing it." The actor has only recently left for a trip to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji to give spiritual discourses at the largest youth seminars organized by the Art of Living!
