Salman ditches old friend Sanjay for Pakistani Shoaib

Former best buddies Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan are not talking with each other these days.

Apparently, Salman Khan refused to be a part of Sanjay Dutt’s forthcoming remake of the Hollywood classic Ghostbusters. Sanjay requested Salman to star with him and Riteish Deshmukh, but Salman turned him down blatantly… giving no reason whatsoever. Sanjay wasn’t happy with this rebuke from the shirtless man because he has done many favours for him in the past and expected a favour back.

A few years ago, when Salman’s brother Sohail Khan tried to break into Bollywood with romantic drama Maine Dil Tujhko Diya, it was Sanjay Dutt who agreed to be a part of that film and help bums reach seats in the theatres. According to a friend of Dutt’s, “Despite a packed schedule Sanjay made time for Maine Dil Tujhko Diya and his presence was extensively promoted because Sohail was finding it tough to sell the film.” Not only that, but Sanjay didn’t even charge his full asking fee for the film.

According to our source, the reason as to why Salman has refused to star in Sanjay’s movie is because of Pakistani Cricketer Shoaib Akhtar. Salman is expecting to launch Shoaib in a home production and doesn’t have the dates to spare.
