For all the Mathematics loving friends...

1. I am a 4-digit even number, and all of my digits are different.

2. The sum of all my digits is 10.

3. Each of my digits is greater than zero.

4. The sum of the digits in my thousands place and hundreds place equals the sum of the digits in my ones place and tens place.

5. My largest digit is in the thousands place.

What number am I?

lets see

1. I am a 4-digit even number, and all of my digits are different.

so the number shd end in 2, 4, 6 or 8

it cant be 8 or 6 coz it takes less than 3 other digits to add up to 10

2. The sum of all my digits is 10.

we shd consider those 4 numbers which add upto 10

apart from 1, 2, 3 and 4 there are no other 4 digits wch add upto 10

3. Each of my digits is greater than zero.

ok!!

5. My largest digit is in the thousands place.

now we arrange 4 in the 1st place

the only even digit left is 2

so 4 and 2 are known places

4. The sum of the digits in my thousands place and hundreds place equals the sum of the digits in my ones place and tens place.

now abt the 4th step..we can calculate this one easily..

so we have 4 1 3 2 as the answer

The sum of my outside digits is 6 times the sum of my two middle digits.

What number am I?
