One of them said : If one of your sheeps was mine I would have two times as many sheeps as you.
The other farmer said : If one of your sheeps stayed mine , we would have the equal amount of sheeps each.

Now the question is how many sheeps did each farmer have?

If the first farmer gave the 2nd farmer one of his sheep, would the 2nd farmer have twice of the original number of sheep the farmer had, or would he have twice the number of sheep after the first farmer gave him the sheep??
