View Full Version : Has The God Failed?

11-09-2008, 11:29 AM
He makes his escape in the silence of the night
He sails his way through
Looking back, he sees a dim light
Itís his home; he left, when the pain grew

He rows his boat ahead
Where this boy is heading no one has a clue
In the water he sees reflection of stars
They look so pretty he wants to dive in and catch a few

On his way, he thinks about the sufferings of his brothers and sisters
He feels this world is a mess
There are cut, scars and blisters everywhere
And he feels God is on recess

He has cried their tears
He has felt their pain
He has cherished their smile, long gone in vain
He has seen a few,

Food is what for which they kill
He has seen others,
They have to digest their food with a pill

Some call it the disparities of life
Some call it the paradox of life
Some revolve around the word 'my'
But only few ask the question why?

He stops rowing his boat for a while now

He drinks some water and gathers his thoughts
He knows he's not a saviour
But there are some lessons
He believes, which need to be taught

He looks back
He can no longer see his home
He knows he will turn back
But he wants to capture a glimpse
Of all that he has ever known

He rows his boat ahead

People are so mean, he thinks
Reflecting upon his own self
He needs to go back to his home
Clear his conscience and to prove
He does not have a heart of stone

As he moves ahead a few miles
His vision begins to blur again
Starving kids begin to die
Religions draw swords
All people want is eye for an eye

He knows he is sailing into the unknown
He cannot turn back now
He has to find his answers

And to wash the sins of his own
Moon is playing games with the clouds
Much like his own self
Heís tired of making transits

Between his good side and the worst
He wants to break free from the chains
The chains which pierce his soul
His conscience is dirty with stains
Stains which increase his guilt many fold

He sees an island at some distance
He rows his boat quickly towards it
He believes the island hold his destiny
Which needs to be fulfilled

He now stands on the island
His vision is clearing now
He has been following all his life
Now is the time to take a stand

Everyone is so busy now
No one has a second for others
People donít care about anyone now
Be it their own brothers. sisters, father or mother

With these puzzled thoughts
He starts smiling
He now realized his mistake
When he fell, he started crawling

He has to stand
On his own two feet now
Break the chains he's holding
He has to make a difference somehow

He thinks about his family
He has to get back to them
He is missing their love
He is missing their care;
To run away from them
He wonít even dare

He is finally feeling peaceful
Maybe it's time to sail back
He joined his hands for prayer
But uneasiness surrounded him
He thought about the sufferings of mankind
His eyes turn wet
So far from his home he has sailed
Only to realise
Maybe the god has failed....

P.S. This boy is inside each and everyone of us, we just need to let him sail
