Well friends i think it is time to have some changes in our forum. All are getting bored with the old styles. Something new must be brought in. New in the sense in a positive approach and within the limits.

Please all of u say ur views on wat new things must be brought into the forum. What changes has to be made so that the forum will have more members and the number of replies will b gud. Replies for any topic always will make the poster very happy and encourage him to post more and more.

So at present as naveed wished i have opened an open topic. After we decide few things few will have to take in responsibilities of their own interest.

ALL ARE ALLOWED TO SAY THEIR VIEWS.

So plz do participate...

We'll announce the correct date and time for the meeting. So those who wish can cum online and participate at that time.


Plz do post in ur views as points and not as paragraphs. Each view must not be more than 4 sentences.

Let me be the first...

1. We must allow the users to use the rapidshare links.
2. B'day column which was previously there at the bottom showing who all have b'day on tat day must be there.
3. Each category must be monitored by a group of people.
4. We must allow only our members to view the full description in all the topic. A non-member person must not b allowed to view our full descriptions until he joins in our nido forum as a member.

1) RAPIDSHARE links
Rapidshare and all other free file sharing servers are now a days used to share copyrighted or illegal stuff , which has a clear conflict with google Inc. Google is providing ads services for nidokidos and we can not neglect the terms of uses of their advertisment program. google has warned me not to use any rapidshare / MegaUpload or any other free filesharing links.
so we have to comply google policies

2) "birthday column" your suggestion is added in my to do list.

3) each category is monitored by a usergroup called "Power users" and it consist of admins. if you have any catogory , in which moderators dont have any rights , please inform me.

4) Forth one is a good suggestion , but its not practical and it can create problems for the website viewers, i hope you can understand that.

I have seen many ppl postin randomly , that shud be avoided and taken care off

as darani said : specific ppl who r doing gd in particular forums shud be made incharge kindoff for the forum- that ways the work is managed and distributed
If possible new ppl shud be taken in the committe and given mod status and some powers(and yes i recommend maself haha)

The ranking idea shud be modified as napster suggested

the bday column displayin the birthdays is gd idea

* The games which are played in the forum, those should not be scrolled in last 15 active topics. That makes the forum navigation difficult for a visitor.

* As mods like top 5 most viewd topics in forum and 5 latest topics, the same way 5 most viewd topics in the whole board/site should be added on post page.

* Make more sub-forums.

* add a mod which provides user to upload multiple images, and hotlink it without going in to bb code and otherwebsite.
Use multipics.net for this purpose.

Hi All,

Some thoughts about already suggested ideas and some of my own ideas.

#10 People posting randomly could be the people who post as and when the time permits so maybe we can see the inactivity for, say 3 months before removing

#16 Keygens, serials, cracks are illegal. Posting them could cause legal issues.

My suggestions

#1 Google ads appear everywhere. It could be the source of income to manage the board but can it be arranged in a proper manner and in line with the board theme?

#2 A new section, ideally appear on the top giving an introduction to the group, details about owner and moderators, rules, tips (such as adding an image to signature etc) and anything that could educate a new user or even existing members.

#3 Can we use a universal language i.e. English at all times so even the non-Indian members (like me) can understand the discussion? :)

#4 I've seen some sign up just to ask for some help and never return afterwards. Can we eliminate this?

Well I guess that's it for now. I shall post if anything more comes to my mind :)

3) yes , i have tried to use English in the whole forum , i think 99 percent things are in English
4) i think you are talking about inactive users account. we will remove them periodically.

I forgot to mention this, but I think the search on Nidokidos should change too, as it is a Google search which is being used now... I've seen many forums with way better search features!! And it would be also cool, if you could increase the size of the avatar (as in kb, and not the size in dimensions)

i wud suggest a search option within the forums
like it is done on youtube
wen a person posts , he submits tabs for the post which makes searchin it easier
so if we keep tabs while postin and have a search option within forums ppl will be able to avoid reposts to a great extent
similarly the forums are too filled up so if u want to get back to a post after many days ,u need to scroll pagessss , this wud be eliminated

..well a change that I would suggest would be that the inspirations section should be altered…it should open up with the different kind of stories that have been posted and two sub-forums should belong to it...the first one should own english poetry and the second should be filled with urdu/hindi poetry…english and urdu/hindi posts should be separated…and I think it would be a brilliant idea to do this for the sms section aswell..the English and urdu/hindi text messages should be partitioned…this would be much more easy for the members who literally don’t understand either language…well likewise, it would also be an advantage because if we prefer english messages we could go straight into the english section rather than searching through all the pages for what we are looking for…

Once login, I can click on one link to see all my previous posts sorted by date! In this way, if after 1 month or few months i did not login due to working or busy. Once i come in again, I can still trace where did I stopped by checking the first "LAST" post! In addition, I can be the first time to know if my post does have any reply by seeing the last reply done by whom!

Hmmm :smt069 i log in here at the tyms dat am free to relax as its a fun going place to relax well :smt098... So found it very hard so left it :smt090 with no option :smt010 ...

Request you to kindly have an add up the find post option so as to find the any particular post by typing the post name though if it may or may not belong to that individual...., letting you jus to have some easy methods for a better use.. [-o<
